What is the percentage of the white to black tone you can see from your monitor? The background is 0%, the black frame is 100% Over 95% - your monitor is excellent+. Over 85% - your monitor is excellent. Over 80% - your monitor is good. Over 75% - your monitor is fine, but not a good idea for photo retouch. Below 58% - replace your monitor, or you risk are hurting your eyes, and waisting your time.
